The Huntington VA Medical Center's Medical Service is seeking a full-time BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist to join our staff. Responsibilities include coverage of outpatient clinics, inpatient rounds, supervision of inpatient as well as outpatient chemotherapy and infusion procedures; conduct bone marrow aspirates and biopsies and answer inpatient/outpatient consultations.
Diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with hematology and oncology diseases according to standard, usual and acceptable or customary methods and techniques in the outpatient and inpatient settings.
Specific services include, but are not limited to, bone marrow biopsy and aspiration and providing medical oversight for the Chemotherapy Infusion Room.
The physician will report to the Chief of Medical Service or his/her designee.
The Hem/Onc Provider shall cooperate with, and participate in, medical duties or functions related to quality of care and peer review along with improvement/performance improvement activities at the direction of the Chief of Medical Service.

Board certified/board eligible Internal Medicine with completion of fellowship in Hematology & Oncology
Unrestricted MD.DO license (practice with any current and unrestricted state license).
BLS certification is required.
