The Department of Emergency Medicine at Morristown Medical Center is pleased to announce availability for a Medical Toxicologist to join our faculty in Morristown, NJ.

We are an academic department situated in a tertiary care center with an active research faculty, an established emergency medicine residency program, fellowships in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, EMS, and Ultrasound, and successful divisions of Travel and Hyperbaric and Undersea Medicine. Candidates must have an MD or DO, be BC/BE in Emergency Medicine and/or Pediatric Emergency Medicine, fellowship trained in Medical Toxicology, BC/BE for subspecialty certification in Medical Toxicology, and be a vital contributor to both the ongoing development of the toxicology service and our diverse academic faculty.

  • The toxicology service began in October 2013
  • Approximately 20-30 patients/month for inpatient consultation, with plans to expand to include outpatient services in the near future.

?The position will include bedside and phone consultation on the toxicology service, clinical shifts in the Emergency Department, and active participation as a faculty member for the Residency in Emergency Medicine. ED shifts may be done at one of several sites; shift requirements are flexible and compensation is competitive.
