Saint Alphonsus Medical Group and Saint Alphonsus Medical Center – Ontario have an excellent full time employment opportunity for a Family Medicine physician (OB optional) to join an ambulatory clinic based practice located in Fruitland, Idaho.
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG), a physician led and accountable 400+ provider multispecialty group practice, is seeking a Family Medicine physician (OB optional) to practice in the Fruitland Health Plaza, a brand new state-of-the-art facility. The Ontario location also qualifies for National Health Service Corps loan repayment.
The work schedule is a traditional clinic work week, Monday through Friday with no less than 34 hours of scheduled patient contact time. The schedule consists of 4 to 4 ½ days in clinic. The practice call is shared with other eligible members in the SARMC Department of Family Medicine, phone call only. The Inpatients are covered by a hospitalist service.
The ideal candidate will successful complete an accredited ACGME/AOA Family Medicine residency program; have current, unrestricted full licenses in Idaho and Oregon to practice medicine in all its phases; a valid controlled substance registration with Idaho and Oregon Boards of Pharmacy and DEA and board certification through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP) (or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment).
Requirements include a strong medical background and a desire to develop a practice to support a growing multi-specialty medical group. In providing this support, you will obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure to maintain and strengthen the Health System’s general internal program across all communities we serve. The opportunity also privileges at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center – Ontario.

The physician must demonstrate a commitment to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care and work cooperatively with associates and other providers. The physician must also be willing to oversee and supervise mid-level providers.
NextGen® Ambulatory EHR is utilized in the clinic and Cerner PowerChart® is utilized in the Inpatient setting; therefore experience with EHRs is desirable.
