Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) and Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) have an excellent full-time employment opportunity for an Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine physician to join an ambulatory model and a growing multispecialty group practice (hybrid model also available) located in Boise, Idaho.
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led and accountable 400+ provider multispecialty group practice seeking Internal Medicine physicians. Our group seeks internists who are committed to a multi-disciplinary team-based approach to care and who provide this care in a high quality and compassionate manner healing the body, mind and spirit.
The selected physician will have successfully completed an accredited internal medicine residency program; have a current, unrestricted full license in Idaho and Oregon to practice medicine in all its phases; a valid controlled substance registration with Idaho and Oregon Boards of Pharmacy and DEA; and board certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM) (or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment).
The schedule is a traditional clinic work week, Monday through Friday; no less than 34 hours of scheduled patient contact time. The call coverage is Outpatient call (with supportive call triage service) shared equitably with other eligible SAMG adult medicine providers; SARMC operates an adult inpatient hospitalist medicine service.
Well-qualified candidates should be passionate and knowledgeable about adult health issues, possess a general internal medicine background and desire to develop outpatient-based practices in support of our growing multi-specialty medical group within a regionally integrated healthcare system; experience with electronic health records (EHRs) is also advantageous. The affiliated hospital, Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC), operates a 24-7 adult medicine hospitalist service. The adult medicine hospitalists are the primary admitting service for the vast majority of primary care providers in the Saint Alphonsus network
SAMG currently utilizes Cerner PowerChart as their Inpatient EMR/Computerized Order Entry; therefore experience with Electronic Medical Records is preferred.
