The Huntington, WV VA Medical Center is searching for a BE/BC Hospitalist to join their dynamic healthcare team. Physician will perform the primary clinical duties of a Hospitalist in an inpatient setting, including coverage of the Medical Intensive Care/Telemetry Unit. Evaluate patients admitted to medical service for inpatient management and disposition. Work closely with medical and surgical consultants and primary care physicians to ensure that inpatients receive continuous, high-quality care. Responsible for providing the most effective delivery of patient care services throughout the Medical Center.
Hospitalist with recent/relevant experience teaching residents/student as this position has a percentage time conducting academic responsibilities.

Tour of Duty: Available to work rotating twelve (12) and/or eight (8) hour shifts; however, subject to change, depending on the needs.
Salary Range: up to $264,000 per year VA Physician salaries are determined by a compensation panel of physicians at the facility where you practice medicine. VA salaries are very competitive and are based on physician salaries of the local market, your experience and credentials as a physician.

BE/BC: Board certified/board eligible Internal Medicine/Family Practice
Licensure: Unrestricted MD.DO license (practice with any current and unrestricted state license)
Education: Must have a degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
Physical Standards: All applicants must meet the physical requirements established for this position.
