The VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System (VASNHS), Las Vegas Nevada, is recruiting for Staff Gastroenterologists (GI) to join our healthcare team! Clinical responsibilities include completing patient history and physical examinations, diagnosis, and therapeutic-ability, effectiveness in emergencies, patient management, consultation, specialty skills and record keeping. GI Physician will spend time performing clinical responsibilities that promote delivery of quality patient care based on current standards in the practice of GI Diseases and coverage in our Gastroenterology Clinics and Hospital, Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Physician will perform GI Endoscopies and Special Procedures (G-tube, ERCP, etc.). Provider will be expected to demonstrate skill and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to a diverse range and age of the patients served, including the ability to identify patient needs and to provide the care needed to promote improvement. In addition to clinical expectations, Gastroenterologist will carry out teaching responsibilities to include evaluating the effectiveness in teaching, monitoring and coordination of educational activities – planning, evaluating and documenting – teaching house staff/students in ICU/Hospital/outpatient clinic. Research responsibilities and development include the ability to identify and define significant research and development problems, to plan and execute a precise research program and to generate effective reports and results worthy of publication. Communicates and promotes the broad use of the results of research and development. Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with on-call duties on the weekend, night and holiday coverage as necessary.

- Must have current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the U.S.

Expected Salary range for well qualified BC/BE Gastroenterologist will range from $260,000.00 to $300,000.00 and include industry leading full benefits and features package to support high quality professional practice and favorable work-life-family balance.
