The Beckley VA Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Ophthalmologist. This wonderful opportunity provides you the opportunity to care for Veterans in the following:
- The Ophthalmology department, Beckley VA Medical Center, instrumental in establishing its new outstanding program
- Perform comprehensive Ophthalmologist clinically, surgically and determine the need for surgical or non-surgical treatment of urgent or emergent patients with simple or complex ophthalmology complaints
- Perform retina evaluations
- Perform cataracts extractions and Injections
- One day a week in the operating room
- Average number of Veterans, approximately 14 daily.
- Possibly for academic appointment
Work schedule: Monday –Friday, 8-4:30 p.m. (No weekends)
- United States citizen
- Full and unrestricted M.D./D.O. license
- B.C./B.E. Ophthalmologist ( preferred 5 years of experience)

Medical License: A clean, valid medical license from any US State or Territory is all that is required to practice medicine in a VA Federal Hospital anywhere in the nation.
Salaries: VA Providers salaries are determined by a compensation panel of physicians at the facility where you practice medicine. VA salaries are very competitive and are based on physician salaries of the local market, your experience and credentials as a physician.
