The Saint Alphonsus Cancer Care Center (SA CCC) is accredited by the American College of Surgeons as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. And, in 2013, the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) granted the Saint Alphonsus Cancer Care Center the Outstanding Achievement Award; the Saint Alphonsus Cancer Care Center is among only 19% of the programs surveyed who achieved this prestigious distinction. Moreover, the program became Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI)recertified in 2017. In 2015 we received "3 Year Accreditation" from American College of Surgeons/ Commission on Cancer – which replaces the "3 Year with Commendation/Outstanding Achievement Award" we received in 2012. The SA CCC also collaborates with the Michigan Cancer Research Consortium, a research cooperative group administered by our Trinity Health partner, St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
