St. Peter's Health Partners Medical Associates has an excellent full time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Thoracic Surgery physician to join an established and highly respected practice based in Albany, New York.

The practice is located at St. Peter’s Hospital and provides comprehensive and compassionate surgical care to patients who have a disease related to the chest. Recently, the practice of three thoracic surgeons has recently expanded to Samaritan Hospital in Troy, New York. The highly trained and skilled surgeons care for patients with cancer of the lung and esophagus, as well as providing a vast array of procedures for benign diseases such as spontaneous pneumothorax, empyema, gastroesophageal reflux disease, pectus excavatum and hyperhidrosis. The practice offers a full spectrum of endoscopy procedures of the lungs and esophagus, as well as dilation, stenting and laser procedures. Minimally invasive surgical approaches are used in the treatment of both benign and malignant chest pathology.

The physicians enjoy full access to a great team of caregivers, from medical oncology & radiation oncology, to radiology and a great OR staff, including advanced practitioners.

Applicants should possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team oriented. Three to Five years of experience as a Thoracic Surgery physician are required and preference will be shown to candidates who possess Robotic training and/or experience.
