St. Peter's Health Partners and St. Peter’s Hospital have an exciting employment opportunity for an experienced, Board Certified Psychiatrist to join an expanding program for behavioral health services located in Albany, New York.

The primary function of this part time opportunity is outpatient psychiatry medication management. Additional duties include occasional coverage of inpatient Consult Liaison service as well as the clinical oversight of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners on the Consult Liaison service and those providing outpatient medication management. The selected provider will also participate with medical leadership to provide insight for quality improvements.

The salary for this opportunity includes one weeknight per week of call responsibility (home coverage). An additional stipend is available for covering one weekend per month of in hospital Consult Liaison coverage.

The selected Psychiatrist will be Board Certified in Psychiatry, with three to five years of practice experience. New York state physician licensure and an active DEA are required to begin employment. Applicants should also possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team oriented
