Mount Carmel Health System has an excellent full time employment opportunity for an Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to join a 44 Resident ACGME accredited joint program with The Ohio State University located in Columbus, Ohio.

Mount Carmel delivers high quality obstetrical care at three-hospitals – Mount Carmel East, Mount Carmel West (Mount Carmel Grove City opens fall 2018) and Mount Carmel St. Ann's – in central Ohio. In addition to providing care to the Columbus underserved community, Mount Carmel is the primary regional referral center for high-risk pregnancies with Level 3 NICUs.

This opportunity offers the selected candidate the chance to educate, supervise and provide direct care for patients in the resident clinic as well as within the Labor and Delivery Unit. Candidates must have strong interest and skill in team-based obstetrical care, health care policy for provision of obstetrical care, as well as high motivation for innovative resident and medical student education.

The selected candidate will be Board Certified or Board Eligible (board certifying exam must be completed within two years of employment) in Obstetrics and Gynecology. They must be comfortable with a broad spectrum of Obstetric and Gynecological care, including the management of medically complex high-risk pregnancies and advanced obstetrical surgery. They must also be able to manage gynecological and obstetric traumatic surgical emergencies. Candidates must possess Laparoscopic surgery experience, robotic experience is helpful but is not mandatory for this opportunity. A general understanding of ACGME guidelines, processes and procedures is also a plus.

Preference will be shown to candidates who possess at least three years of experience post-Residency; however, the team welcomes all enthusiastic educators to consider this opportunity.
