Trinity Health Of New England - the region’s largest nonprofit health system - has an excellent full time employment opportunity for a Fellowship trained, Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgery physician to serve as Director of Orthopedic Trauma at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut.

The Director of Orthopedic Trauma is responsible for the oversight of the highly visible Orthopedic Trauma Program. The selected surgeon will lead, inspire and build a team of fellowship trained orthopedic surgeons and specialists who share the same vision and values of outstanding patient-centered care. As a key member of the orthopedic service-line leadership team, the Program Director will exemplify professionalism while working closely with staff, administration and board members.

Responsibilities include the day-to-day operations of the services provided by physicians as well as providing ongoing reviews of established policies and procedures, along with active involvement in quality-improvement initiatives and long-range planning.

This is also an excellent opportunity to demonstrate clinical and academic expertise while participating in Orthopedic Trauma research and the education of residents and medical students.

Preference will be shown to candidates who possess five or more years of practice experience; however, candidates with two or more years of experience are encouraged to apply.
