IHA and St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor (SJMAA) have an excellent part time (0.2 FTE) employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible physician to provide expert Occupational Medicine services located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The Employee Health Services (EHS) Medical Director will provide expert service to the organization in the management of disability, hazardous exposures, workers' compensation and the interface of medical care with legislative requirements and regulations (i.e. FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, OSHA standards, CDC guidelines, etc.). The selected candidate will provide consultation services and support to colleagues struggling with such issues for outside care, including workers' compensation.
The Medical Director will develop alliances with safety, human resources, infection control, industrial hygiene, engineering, facilities management, environmental services and purchasing to aid in the operations of EHS. Assignment to key committees and attendance at meetings is required of the Medical Director. They will also be responsible for the establishment of policy support in the institutional framework as well as maintaining a presence in the various medical areas during rounds and problem solving sessions.
