Emergency Medicine Medical Director needed- Springhill, Louisiana
Physician Requirements include:
· Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
· Current ATLS, ACLS, PALS- waived if ABEM
· Current unrestricted Louisiana state medical license and DEA
· 400 hours of ED Experience required over the last 2 years
· Previous Site Medical Director experience required
· Only 4 clinical shifts per month minimum necessary
· Attend monthly medical staff meetings
· Comfortable and experienced in process improvement and peer counseling
The Site Medical Director (SMD) is designed to align the goals of the hospital with that of the Envision Physician Services clinicians. Envision’s SMD shall work closely with the Hospital Administrator or his designee to solve departmental problems; improve departmental efficiency; create a professional atmosphere conducive to a high standard of patient care; investigate patient complaints and incident reports; and interact with the "Chiefs of Service of the Medical Staff" (or persons of similar position). The Director is responsible for supporting the hospital's policies pertaining to employees and patient care.
