The Atlanta, Georgia VA Medical Center is seeking a full-time Academic Hospitalist to supervise resident ward teams and provide direct patient care to our Nation’s veterans. Someone with a strong interest in the academic mission and becoming involved in a range of academic activities (teaching, research or quality improvement) is preferred. Shared tours of duty may include weekends, holidays, evenings, and nights.
Required Qualifications: Internal Medicine Board Certification, and acceptability by Emory and Morehouse Schools of Medicine for faculty appointment.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with teaching and QI/PI experience are preferred. We are seeking a new team member who possesses a strong work ethic, superb integrity, kindness and empathy, and who enjoys working with a collaborative group.
Work Hours: Usually 7 am to 7pm or variable on academic teams. Shared tours of duty may include weekends, holidays, evenings, and nights.
Salary Range: $190,000 -$205,000 per year and selected candidate may be eligible to apply for student loan repayment thru the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP). Participation is based on funds availability.
