The Sumter, South Carolina VA Outpatient Center is seeking BC/BE Psychiatrists. The ideal candidate is an independent care provider who is highly skilled in the management of patient's mental health needs. Main responsibilities consist of conducting diagnostic evaluations, psychiatric consults, medication management, and individual or group psychotherapy and supervising mid-levels. Outpatient psychiatrists have one hour for new intake (only one daily), and 30 minutes to see each follow up visit. There is also 90 minutes allotted during the course of the day to complete notes, return phone calls, etc. U.S. Citizenship, a full, active, and unrestricted U.S. medical license, and BC/BE in Psychiatry are required.
