Physician - General

Practice Setting: Critical Access Hospital
Employment Model: 1099 through inReach Health
Location:  Southern Iowa, Southern Illinois, Northern Maine OR Southern Wyoming

InReach Health is seeking a General Surgeon to join our team, providing essential surgical services at a rural hospital in several locations nationwide. This opportunity is perfect for a skilled surgeon who values work-life balance and is open to a travel-based model.

Position Highlights:

• Schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

• Call: 10-14 days/month - low volume

• Setting: Mix of inpatient, outpatient, and OR

• Telemedicine: Not required

• Travel: Paid and coordinated by inReach - no need to relocate

Compensation & Benefits:

• $2,300/day guaranteed base

• Unlimited production bonus (wRVU-based)

• 1099 independent contractor status

• Part-time schedule with full-time earning potential

• 1-year contract with preference for 3-5 year commitment

• No relocation required

• No sign-on, student loan assistance, CME, or benefits package (unpaid time off)

Candidate Requirements:

• MD or DO accepted

• Board Certified or Board Eligible preferred

• Minimum 2 years of surgical experience

• Graduates from 2022 or earlier accepted

• Must be willing to travel
