Exciting Opportunity: Pediatrics - Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Neonatologist to provide exceptional neonatal care in a high-acuity Level 1 Trauma hospital with a NICU level IIIA nursery. This role offers a rewarding environment where your expertise will impact early life health outcomes and support families during critical moments.

What You'll Do:

• Provide inpatient neonatal care in our state-of-the-art NICU, caring for an average of 9-11 infants daily with approximately 20 NICU admissions per month.
• Attend high-risk deliveries and manage NICU rounds, ensuring the best clinical outcomes.
• Participate in outpatient clinics every Thursday, collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals.
• Be on 24/7 on-call support, ready to respond within 20 minutes, in a well-equipped setting with pagers and Spectra Link phones.
• Collaborate with one full-time neonatologist and five highly trained mid-levels who support patient care around the clock.

Required Skills:

• MD or DO degree with board certification or eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
• Proven experience in a Level III NICU setting.
• Excellent clinical skills in neonatal intensive care.
• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Ability to respond promptly during on-call duties and handle high-pressure situations.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Epic EMR system.
• Previous exposure to high-risk obstetric and neonatal care.
• Leadership or teaching experience within a hospital setting.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 3 years of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine experience in a similar hospital environment.
• Current state medical license and neonatal certification.

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to cover approximately one week of additional coverage per month.
• Ability to work from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with flexible on-call hours.
• Valid medical licensure, certification, and applicable travel or licensing reimbursements as needed.
