We are seeking an experienced Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver comprehensive outpatient cardiology care, with a strong focus on cardiac device management and chronic cardiovascular disease. Schedule and Work-Life Balance:
- Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours/week) and no call responsibilities.
Practice Details:
- Clinic setting: 100% outpatient practice with 6 exam spaces and dedicated telehealth rooms, with 1:1 MA support, RN, case manager, patient care coordinator, and centralized specialty support teams. With occasional travel required to Sitka as needed and based on provider skillset.
- Patient Volume: Approximately 10 patients per day with appointment lengths: 60 minutes for new consultations, 30 minutes for follow-ups, including telemedicine visits.
- Procedures and services: Exercise treadmill testing (ETT) and stress echocardiograms. EKG, Holter monitor, and ambulatory blood pressure interpretation. Cardiac device interrogation, programming, and remote monitoring. Oversight of rhythm monitoring programs.
- Hospital access: Collaboration with Bartlett Regional Hospital and Mount Edgecumbe Medical Center.
- Technology and EMR: MediTech EMR, Dragon dictation, DAX Copilot, PACS imaging systems with upcoming CV PACS implementation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of APP experience in cardiology.
- Strong experience in cardiac device management and arrhythmia interpretation.
- Proficiency with device programmers (e.g., Medtronic, Boston Scientific, St. Jude).
- Masters degree as a Nurse Practitioner (or equivalent APP training).
- Active or eligible Alaska licensure.
- ACLS and BLS certification required.
- National certification in cardiac care (ANCC, ABCM, or equivalent).
