POSITION SUMMARY:
The APP in Cancer Care will provide support in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with cancer and blood disorders. This role includes managing chemotherapy treatments, patient follow-ups, and collaborative care with the physician team. This role does not involve surgical or procedural responsibilities.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
- Outpatient clinical role - no inpatient
- Standard office hours (Mon-Fri / 8am-5pm)
- Protected administrative time (4.5 days clinic time with .5-day admin time per week)
- 36 patient contact hours / 4 admin hours
- Call Schedule: No call responsibilities for this role
- Support Staff: The APP will have access to a dedicated nurse and work closely with the oncology nursing team.

PATIENT VOLUME & CENSUS:
- Average Patient Volume: 15-20 patients per day
- Patient Census: Adult patients with various types of cancers and hematologic disorders.
- Demographics: A diverse patient population, ranging from early-stage diagnoses to complex, advanced cases.
VISIT TYPES AND PROCEDURES:
- Visit types: Chemotherapy management, follow-up visits, symptom management, and routine check-ups for ongoing cancer treatment.
- Procedures: Assist with bone marrow biopsies, administration of chemotherapy, and management of port care.
