Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 4:30pm)
 
Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME) Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification) Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
 
Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment)
  • Directly supervises the primacy care providers in their assigned PACT teams (not sure if we need to specify what this entails, of if that is enough)
  • Assists the Chief of Primary Care and the Deputy Chief of Primary Care in reviewing, recommending, and overseeing the credentialing and privileging primary care providers in accordance with VHA policy
  • Assists the Chief of Primary Care and the Deputy Chief of Primary Care in managing peer reviews
  • Assists Primary Care leadership in management of clinic access and matrix development
  • Attends appropriate committees pertinent to clinical operations and quality and performance
  • Promotes provider education and development by the delivery and organization of educational opportunities
  • Demonstrates a commitment to professional enrichment, merit promotion, equal employment opportunity, and positive labor relations as needed
  • Assist with the recruitment and orientation of primary care providers
