Physician - Emergency Medicine

The Staff Physician is committed to supporting the mission of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation: Working together to achieve excellent health. This role is an employee position working under the supervision of the Medical Director, who is in turn supervised by the Clinical Services Administrator.

Position Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Completion of an accredited medical school.
• Completion of a residency training program and board eligible or board certified (unless a specific exception is made) by the appropriate board of the American Medical Association or the American Osteopathic Association.
• Alaska State License and DEA License required.
• Computer skills necessary to access computerized medical records.
• Skills and knowledge to practice medicine in the area of specialty.
• Ability to supervise medical students, residents, physician extenders, and Community Health Aide clinical practice.

Compensation Highlights

Starting Salary for three-year contract with Retention and Annual Performance Bonuses:

• Guaranteed Base Annual Salary: $250,848

Retention Bonus:

• Years 1 & 2 at 7%: $17,559.36
• Year 3 at 9.1%: $22,827.17

Annual Performance Bonus:

• $60,000 annually (paid out quarterly)

Sign-On Bonus:

• $75,000 for a three-year contract

Relocation Incentive:

• $15,000 for Single
• $20,000 for Family
