The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging at the University of Virginia (UVA) is seeking two full-time, Fellowship-trained Radiologists to join a newly formed Division of Emergency Medicine within the Department. These positions will follow a traditional academic schedule of 4 shifts on and one academic shift per week. The work shifts will include a mix of day (8 to 5) and evening (1 pm to 10 pm) shifts, from a dedicated Emergency Reading Room located near the ED. Some remote shifts will also be available. Primary clinical duties for this position will include a blend of Ultrasounds, CTs, MRIs, and plain films adding to~60-65 wRVUs per shift. Residents are on-site during the night shift.
Our Emergency Radiologists will join a group of 40 residents, 27 Fellows/Instructors and ~60 Clinical Faculty in a Level-1 Trauma Center, and will oversee all aspects of imaging for our emergency department patients with minor to acute/traumatic illness/injuries. Our Diagnostic Residency Program is also ranked in the top 20 by Doximity.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates for this position must have a MD or equivalent degree, be eligible for Virginia State Medical Licensure, be ABR Certified/Eligible or have equivalent qualification, and be strongly interested in a career in academic radiology. Academic rank is dependent on qualifications and experience.
