Seeking an ambitious pulmonary/critical care physician leader to start and grow an accredited LUNG TRANSPLANT program at a quaternary care, large community hospital. 

  • Full-time pulmonary/critical care (board eligible or board certified) physician who is EITHER seeking necessary training and experience in managing a lung transplant population OR is an active lung transplant physician. 
  • Training Track- No previous lung transplant experience needed. Working under the mentorship of a veteran lung transplant director, applicant will learn all aspects of lung transplantation from initial patient evaluation/selection to long-term post-transplant management while earning salary commensurate with attending physician. Participation in clinical trials and publications are optional and encouraged.  After sufficient experience and clinical competencies acquired, candidate will transition to full-time lung transplant position.
  • Regardless of background, applicant will be encouraged to pursue eventual directorship.
  • Rotation in a CV/Pulmonary ICU. Shifts are 7-day blocks, approximately 6-8 weeks per year.
  • Opportunities for general pulmonary consults if time or interest allows. Not required.
