Assessment staff complete the initial biopsychosocial evaluation with the individual/family. The assessment process recognizes the importance of the unique context of each individual/family and carefully incorporates these within the overall understanding of the challenges and strengths of the individual/family. Those strengths are then used as the building blocks in a developmental approach toward assisting the individual/family achieve their identified goals. Integral to this person-centered approach is cultural competency. The first step in the completion of the intake process is understanding the unique culture of the individualhis/her family, history and community.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Psychiatrist with an active, unrestricted Pennsylvania license
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines, including clinical and clerical staff
- Expert assessment, diagnostic, and psychopharmacological treatment skills
- Professional credentials should be current as dictated by the State licensing standards and Professional Licensing Board.
- Valid PA Driver's License and appropriate state and federal clearances.
