The Hershel "Woody" Williams VA Medical Center is a fully accredited 80-bed acute medical and surgical care facility, offering primary care, outpatient mental health services, and subspecialty outpatient care. VA staffed community-based outpatient clinics are located in Charleston, West Virginia, and Prestonsburg, Kentucky. In addition, outreach clinics are located in Gallipolis, Ohio and Lenore, West Virginia. This Medical Center is the principal teaching facility for the Marshall University School of Medicine for undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
This position is in the Rheumatology Department and practices at a independent clinical level of practice. The physician must have specialized knowledge of practice related to assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of Rheumatology conditions. This physician will perform or assist in related procedures. Rheumatology is the discipline whose providers treat diseases that affect your joints, muscles, and bones, including those known as autoimmune conditions, connective tissue disease or inflammatory (rheumatic) diseases.
