Our Cardiology team covers service at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY managing all aspects of cardiac care, except for transplantation, where we offer Cardiac Surgery Services and full spectrum Structural Heart Services. 

Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interventional Cardiologist to join our esteemed team on a full-time basis. As an Interventional Cardiologist with Cardiology Associates of Schenectady, you will play a pivotal role in delivering advanced cardiovascular care to our patients. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stenting, and other interventions.
  • Provide expert consultation and collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, nurses, and healthcare professionals.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests, imaging studies, and patient histories to formulate accurate diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver compassionate and patient-centered care, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficacy.
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities.
  • Call Rotation is 1: 4 nights and weekends. 

Requirements: 

  • Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Interventional Cardiology.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Interventional Cardiology.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of New York.
  • Excellent clinical skills, with a strong commitment to patient care and safety.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous quality improvement.

RECRUITMENT PACKAGE

  • Compensation is between $600,000 and $655,000 per year.
  • The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
