Job Description

Columbia, MO VA Healthcare system is seeking an experienced board-certified Cardiologist to join our team!

Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital

Our main campus provides primary care and specialty health services, including audiology and speech, mental health care, cardiology, surgery, dentistry and oral surgery, neurology, orthopedics, and more.

 

Position Highlights

  • Work Schedule:  M-F 8a-4:30p
  • Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): approved

 

Essential Duties

The Cardiologist will participate in and/or manage all aspects of a general Cardiology program, to include clinical, administrative, academic, and research components if warranted.

  • The cardiologist will diagnose, treat, and manage patients with cardiac diseases according to standard, usual, and acceptable methods and techniques.
  • Will provide services such as outpatient examinations, consultation services related to cardiology, management of patients with current treatment regiment, and admission status as necessary.
  • Participate in providing care in the tele-cardiology program at the facility
  • Providing clinical consultation to Harry S Truman VAMC clinical staff. Patient caseload may be inpatient, outpatient, or both.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or Do Degree
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
