Physician - Pathology

Welcome to Allied Digestive Health! We are seeking a FT Pathologist to join our family in Pearl River, NY. Join NY and NJ's Premiere Gastroenterology Organization, in our state-of-the-art Lab!

Summary: Responsible for efficiently, effectively, and accurately examining and diagnosing surgical specimens in compliance with CLIA/CAP guidelines and other applicable regulations.

The shifts are 8 hours in length, M-F.

This is a high volume lab!

Essential Responsibilities:

• Accurately signs out and reads slides of Pathology cases.
• Follows ALL Laboratory Standard Operating Procedures and policie
• Prioritizes successful completion of STAT cases. Notifies clinicians of STAT and malignant cases.

Effectively organizes daily workflow to meet established TAT and productivity standards

Meets Turn-Around-Time expectations of 90% cases signed out within 24 hours from the moment the cases are ready to the Pathologist for interpretation.

For any delays in TAT, the Pathologist will notify management and the Medical Director.

• Notifies Medical Director about all delayed cases
• Brings all case errors to the attention of the Medical Director and Lab Manager to facilitate investigation and proper handling of the correction of errors.
