The Division of Infectious Diseases resides within a highly collaborative and academically diverse Department of Pediatrics and also enjoys a close working relationship with the Infectious Diseases Division in the Department of Internal Medicine.
MUSC Department of Pediatrics houses more than 31 pediatric specialties and has become a hub for patient care for the surrounding area. Darby Childrens Research Institute which is the largest pediatric research facility in the Carolinas and one of only 15 like it in the country.
Supporting the stand-alone Childrens Hospital is the Summey Medical Pavilion which is a Childrens dedicated outpatient medical building that offers specialty clinics, outpatient surgery, diagnostic imaging, infusion, labs, pharmacy, and urgent care all in one location.
