A Brief Overview of the role

The Medical Director of the Acute Psychiatric Inpatient Service will provide:

  • Visionary leadership and clinical expertise, overseeing the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Blend the biological, psychological, and social aspects of mental health to develop and implement innovative treatment strategies.
  • Accountable to provide supervisory and administrative tasks, provide and role model interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Responsible for our acute behavioral health services including the crisis assessment center, the inpatient units and the mental health partial hospitalization program.
  • Responsible for standardizing and delivering high quality of clinical care and outcomes and supporting the development of the strategic plan.
  • Works collaboratively with other behavioral health and hospital leaders, including physician and nursing leaders to create a cohesive, quality driven behavioral health service line.
