Role Description:

The Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) is seeking a part-time (.4 FTE) Geriatric Care Physician to join our team in Grand Junction, Colorado. In this part-time, onsite role youll support the inpatient, Community Living Center and Home-Based Primary Care and may include Palliative Care for our Veteran population. The Opportunity:

  • High quality, inpatient care in the Community Living Center, Home-Based Primary Care, plus Palliative Care
  • No call and no nights
  • Strong team support including pharmacy, psychology, nursing, and rehab therapy

 

Basic Requirements:

  • MD, or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine, board certified
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in any US state
  • Residency Training: Physicians must have completed approved US residency training
  • Proven experience as a practicing physician specializing in geriatric medicine and acute care for elderly patients is preferred

Compensation: Pro-rated, competitive salary, sign-on incentive potential, annual bonus range. Base salary range $110k - $125k plus up to $15k annual bonus. Position is also eligible for student loan payment reimbursement program if individual eligibility requirements are met.
