Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health is seeking a Pediatric Hematologist Oncologist to join our team.  The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health is the only nationally ranked oncology and hematology program in the state of Indiana, and is affiliated withe the IU Health Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center.  We are the only pediatric stem cell transplant program in Indiana, and the only site offering pediatric CAR T-Cell therapy. Riley is a Children's Oncology Group Phase I Consortium member.  We are the top 20 USNWR, the largest hematology/oncology program in Indiana, and one of five CureWorks consortium members.  This F/T position includes appointment at the Indiana University School of Medicine as an Assistant/Associate Professor.

Position Details

  • Clinical care of hematology patients
  • Growth and development of hemophilia and thrombosis center. 
  • Participation in advocacy efforts and community engagement
  • Collaboration with our adult hematology team and research efforts
  • Lumbar puncture, bone marrow aspirate, bone marrow biopsies 
  • Inpatient and outpatient consultation 
  • Outpatient clinics
  • Monday - Friday schedule

Position Requirements

  • Candidates should display excellent clinical care skills in all areas of hematology/oncology, with special focus on thrombosis and hemostasis as well as general hematology.
  • Interest in clinical research preferred, but not required
  • Board Certified / Board Eligible in pediatrics
  • Board Certified / Board Eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
  • Pediatric Hematology / Oncology fellowship required
