The VA Northern California Health Care System is seeking a Staff Urologist to serve Veterans at the Stockton VA Outpatient Clinic. The clinic offers a wide range of medical services, including primary care, dental, mental health, urology, and womens health. It also provides pre- and post-operative telemedicine services, including surgery, nephrology, and orthopedics, as well as care to rural veterans through a mobile health clinic.
The Urologist will be accountable to the Chief of Urology under the Surgical Services Department, managing urology consults, coordinating clinics, and providing pre- and post-operative care. Responsibilities include performing invasive procedures (cystoscopies, vasectomies, circumcisions, etc.), assessing patients for surgery, and obtaining informed consent. The role also involves educating patients and families about treatment options and risks.
There is an opportunity to work 1-2 days per month at the Sacramento VA Medical Center to maintain surgical skills and apply for a Volunteer Clinical Faculty position to teach UC Davis School of Medicine residents.
Salary Range-$327,000-$357,000
