Mercy Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) to join our dynamic gastroenterology team. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to make a significant impact in patient care within our hospitalist setting, covering either St. Vincent or St. Charles/Perrysburg services (coverage may vary week to week).
Position Overview:
- Role: Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) for Gastroenterology Service
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 7 on/7 off rotation
- Locations: St. Vincent or St. Charles/Perrysburg services, with potential variation each week
- Primary Responsibilities:
- Hospital consults and rounding
- Providing consults and discharges
- Arranging for endoscopy services in collaboration with the surgery department
- Following up on labs, imaging, and patient care plans
- Prioritizing patient cases based on severity and required procedures
- Reviewing patient lists, labs, and imaging at the start of each day at 7:00 AM
- Rounding with physicians as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience with gastroenterology is preferred, but not required
- Strong clinical skills in hospital-based care and consultative roles
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
