Mercy Care Atlanta is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our mission-driven team. This outpatient position is essential to delivering trauma-informed treatment, psychiatric diagnoses, and medication management to underserved children and adolescents in an urban Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). By considering Social Determinants of Health, you will contribute to the well-being of our diverse patient population.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide integrated behavioral health care to children and adolescents
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, primary care, dental, and vision providers.
- Supervise and work alongside psychiatric nurses and mid-level providers.
- Participate in health fairs or community events 3-4 times annually.
- Actively contribute to a culture of sensitivity and inclusion.
MINUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Medical degree from a school recognized by the Georgia Composite State Board of Medical Examiners.
- Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry by the ABMS and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
- Completion of an ACGME-certified Psychiatry residency program, with experience serving disadvantaged or special needs populations.
- Unrestricted Georgia medical license and ability to drive in the state.
- Experience working with mental illness, substance use disorders, and in multidisciplinary settings.
