Holy Cross Medical Group is seeking a full time Director of Advanced Practice Providers that will oversee the overall leadership, direction, supervision, and orientation of Advanced Practice Clinicians (APRNs and/or PAs) for Holy Cross Medical Group. Responsible for oversight of credentialing, competencies/protocols, education, compliance, and expectations of patient services delivered by clinician to comply with Florida Board regulations. 

Core Job Functions:

  1. Provides leadership administration, direction, and clinical management of Advanced Practice Clinicians.
  2. Evaluates current clinical workflows and implements national best practices through a transformational leadership style to ensure that all APPs are working at their full scope of practice.  
  3. Monitors state-mandated regulatory and accreditation documentation for compliance of all clinicians. 
  4. Collaborates with all physicians in completing APRN/PAs yearly performance evaluations. Assist with periodic reviews and OPPE reports for Med Staff. 
  5. Oversees the development, implementation, and revision of policies, procedures, and protocols.
  6. Administers new program implementation, such as new applications and staff documentation updates.
  7. Performs formal and informal teaching related to any assigned topics.
  8. Attends staff and hospital committee meetings to stay abreast of operational plans and advanced practice evidence-based clinical models.
  9. Assists administrators/physicians in development of job descriptions and MD/APRN Collaborative Agreement Protocols for newly established APRN/PA positions.
  10. Serves as liaison between the medical and nursing staff, and other healthcare team members.
  11. Promote professional growth, development, and successful performance of all medical group Advanced Practice Professionals.
  12. Actively supports recruitment and orientation of new APPs.
  13. Quality Metric Oversight as well as promoting practice safety standards.
  14. Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with Medical Group policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on HCMG policy and procedures.
  15. Works closely with the Medical Staff Director to ensure compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, rules and regs, and procedures and policies.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Masters Degree in relevant field

Certification and Licensing:

  • National Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Certification (APRN) OR national board certification as a Physician Assistant.
  • Current Physician Assistant or APRN license in the State of Florida.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience. 
  • Prior leadership experience preferred.
