The Eastern Oklahoma  VA is seeking a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible general Physiatrist/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation specialist for inpatient coverage. Physiatrist is responsible for consultative and clinical care for eligible veterans as it relates to Rehabilitation medicine and the Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program (CIIRP Acute Rehab Inpatient) and clinical inpatient and outpatient evaluations/assessment/treatment, EMGs, therapeutic modalities, and collaboration with other clinical providers, etc.

Administrative & Management skills preferred

Duties include, but not limited to the following:

• Providing Comprehensive TBI Evaluations and other Traumatic Brain Injury services for appropriate patients.

• Provides input to Chief of Service about matters pertaining to the Polytrauma/TBI clinic, and other areas as assigned by Chief of Service.

• Participate in other in-person clinics including EMG, procedure clinic/general physiatry, amputee clinic.

• Other duties as assigned depending on departmental need as determined by Chief of Service.

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday.

1. Must be a U.S. Citizen -Non-citizens will be considered if unable to find a US citizen.
2. Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S.

1. $ $275,000 - $300,000 compensation package based on training, experience, and local labor market
2. Annual performance bonus of up to an additional $15,000 K per year Guaranteed salary increases
3. Licensure: 1 full & and unrestricted active U.S. license is required.
4. CME: $1,000/year
5. Malpractice: VHA physicians are covered under the Federal Tort Claims Act

Contract buy out program: VHA Contract Buy Out Program: This position may be eligible for the Physician / Provider Contract Buy Out Program (CBOP), which authorizes VHA to buy out service contracts (Locum agreements, loan repayments, sign-on bonus contracts, Physician-owned practices) in exchange for employment at certain rural or highly rural facilities for a period of obligated service (minimum 4 years).
