Trinity Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Gastroenterology team. This role involves working closely with gastroenterologists and other healthcare professionals to provide specialized care for patients with digestive disorders. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care, and have a strong interest in managing a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, from routine screening to complex diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical exams.
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage gastrointestinal conditions such as acid reflux, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), liver disease, and colorectal cancer.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies (if certified), colonoscopies, and assist in interpreting lab results and imaging studies.
  • Prescribe medications, develop treatment plans, and monitor patients for treatment effectiveness.
  • Provide patient education regarding disease prevention, symptom management, lifestyle modifications, and preparation for diagnostic procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Licenses and Certifications Required
    • Current ND Board NP/PA License required.
    • CPR certified, with certification every two (2) years, preferred.
    • ACLS certification, with certification every two (2) years, preferred.
  • Educational Requirements
    • Education as required to obtain and keep current ND NP/PA license.
  • Experience Requirements
    • Extensive knowledge of established professional medical concepts, principles and practices, required.
    • Experience in specialized medical areas, preferred.
    • CPT coding knowledge, preferred.
