The Spokane VA Medical Center actively recruiting to fill Board Certified Staff physician in Oncology/Hematology (BE considered) to help care for our Veterans – American’s Heroes.

 

The Spokane is seeking a full-time Oncologist/Hematologist in the Medical Service.  The physician will function as a Staff Physician, Oncologist/Hematologist. These services will include planning and coordinating a comprehensive clinical assessment plan that is evidence-based and reflects shared decision making between the practitioner & veteran. The Oncology/Hematology program encompassing the full range of Oncology/Hematology examinations for outpatient and inpatient consult.

We have a strong affiliation with the University of Washington & Washington State School of Medicine with an opportunity to teach residents & medical students and obtain an academic appointment.

 

The Mann-Grandstaff VAMC – located in Spokane, Washington – is part of VA Northwest (VISN20), encompassing a main Medical Center, and three community-based outpatient clinics throughout Washington and Northern Idaho. The VAMC operates 23 hospital beds and 31 rehabilitation-oriented nursing home beds. A mobile clinic, outfitted with two exam rooms, provides selected primary care services to veterans living in rural areas. 

 

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday

  • Must be U.S. Citizen – Non-US Citizens may be considered, (J1 Visa sponsorship)
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice Neurology in the U.S.
  • Board Certification in Neurology preferred, but Board Eligibility may also be considered.

Spokane is a dynamic city located in an exceptionally beautiful part of the country with easy access to a wide variety of outdoor activities. In addition, Spokane offers a wide variety of housing options from condominiums in the city to acreages, or waterfront property at much lower costs than other Western cities.
