Nurse Practitioner - Neurology

About this role:

As a PRN (part-time, as needed) Neurohospitalist Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (advanced practice provider; APP) at McKay-Dee Hospital, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience.In this role you will be one of three dedicated neurohospitalists APPs at the facility, but part of the larger Neuroscience Institute group, including in-person and tele-neurohospitalists, neuro critical care physicians, outpatient neurologists, neuro and spine PM&R physicians, neuro-psychologists and psychiatrists. At McKay-Dee Hospital, you can expect to collaborate with 2 dedicated neurohospitalist APP's and 3 neurohospitalist physicians, as well as supported by nurses and other hospital staff.

In this position, you can anticipate:

• You will practice at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah
• You can expect to work at least 2-4 shifts per month, with a potential for additional shifts to cover PTO or sick days
• You will cover one hospital, consult-only service
• 24/7 service, providing inpatient neurohospitalist services; APPs work 7am-6pm, and can expect to cover holidays and weekends
• No night shift coverage

What youll bring:

• APRN or PA-C degree from an accredited program
• Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
• BLS certification and DEA
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Healths credentialing process
