Schedule:

  • Full-time, mostly Monday to Friday (8 AM - 5 PM), with occasional evenings
  • Focus on supporting local high schools and colleges.

Job Summary: Join our dynamic sports medicine team as a Sports Psychologist, working in our clinic and at local schools and universities. Provide psychological support to athletes and professionals, using your expertise in sports and performance psychology to enhance performance and promote overall well-being.

Clinical Duties:

  • Evaluate athletes to identify psychological barriers to peak performance.
  • Diagnose and treat mental health conditions impacting performance, such as anxiety and stress.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
  • Lead workshops on mental skills, stress management, and relaxation techniques.

School-Based Duties:

  • Work with student-athletes to enhance mental toughness and performance.
  • Provide individual and group counseling for students facing academic and athletic pressures.
  • Develop and deliver mental health programs for students, coaches, and parents.
  • Collaborate with coaches to improve team dynamics and address psychological issues.

Qualifications and Education/Experience:

  • Masters or Doctorate in Psychology with a specialization in Sports Psychology.
  • Licensed Psychologist in the State of Minnesota (upon hire).
  • Experience working with athletes in clinical or educational settings.
  • Experience working with elite or professional athletes.
  • Certification in mental performance coaching (e.g., CMPC).
  • Knowledge of mindfulness, relaxation techniques, or cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
  • Experience conducting workshops or training seminars.

Pay and Benefits

  • Starting pay begins at $107,693.51 per year; exact wage determined by years of related experience 
  • Salary range: $107,693.51 - $161,572.32 per year 
  • Salary and salary range are based on a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate
