Practice Overview:

Anesthesia Specialists of Bethlehem is a physician-led private practice with over 30 years of excellence in anesthesia care. Our team comprises 77 physicians and 120 CRNAs, providing services across 12 inpatient campuses and 3 ambulatory surgery centers within the rapidly expanding St. Lukes University Health Network.

Clinical Scope:

  • Level I Trauma Center at St. Lukes Bethlehem campus

  • Level II Trauma Center and Mother and Baby Pavilion at St. Lukes Anderson campus (3,500 deliveries/year)

  • Diverse case mix: orthopedics, thoracic, neurosurgery, interventional radiology, urology, gynecology, ENT, vascular, general surgery

  • Dedicated teams for cardiac, pediatric, and critical care anesthesia

  • Active involvement in Perioperative Surgical Home model, acute pain service, surgical optimization clinic, and ERAS protocols

Call Schedule:

  • First Call: Every 14 days; weekdays 3-4 PM to 7 AM, weekends 24-hour shifts

  • Second Call: Every 14 days; a regular workday followed by backup duties

  • Post-call day off provided after both first and second calls

  • Voluntary calls at smaller campuses are available for additional compensation

  • Call is evenly split between Bethlehem and Anderson (1:8)

Candidate Requirements:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible anesthesiologist

  • Strong regional anesthesia skills

  • Fellowship training in subspecialties (e.g., cardiac, pediatric, critical care) is a plus
