Physician - Psychiatry

Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute (MTMHI) is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to provide high-quality psychiatric care in a hospital setting. MTMHI serves 17 counties and offers comprehensive psychiatric services, including short-term and long-term care, forensic services, and therapeutic treatment programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat individuals with complex psychiatric and addiction disorders.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, including court-ordered pre-trial assessments.
• Provide leadership in policy, system, and environmental change strategies.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, external agencies, and community stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Required:
• Medical license to practice in Tennessee
• Completion of a four-year psychiatric residency from an accredited program
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Adult Psychiatry
