VA Primary Care Physician in Livermore, California
Location: VA Palo Alto in Livermore, CA
Job Description: The VA Livermore is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Primary Care Physician to join our dedicated team in providing top-notch healthcare services to our Veteran population. You will be part of a committed and knowledgeable team providing comprehensive and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care services to a panel of patients, including diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of conditions
- Conduct routine health assessments and preventive care for Veterans
- Coordinate with specialists and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated care
- Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) effectively to document patient information and care provided
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to improve patient care
- Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, treatments, and preventive measures
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the Primary Care department
Qualifications:
- Must possess a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is preferred
- Valid medical license to practice in the United States
- Completion of a residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Proven experience in primary care practice is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Dedication to providing exemplary care to Veterans

Work Schedule:
- Full-time position with a standard work schedule, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend shifts may be required.
