Nurse Practitioner - Family Medicine

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a 650+ provider multispecialty group practice that has an excellent opportunity for an Advanced Practice Practitioner - Physician's Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - to join a robust practice working full-time at its Garrity Campus Clinic.  This position involves direct patient management including, but not limited to - exams, procedures and services: wellness and same day sick visits, chronic disease management, school and sports physicals, acute illness & injuries, et al.  The provider will ensure compliance with standards of care, and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the medical treatment facility and request timely consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated.  The qualified candidate will exude passion about health issues and demonstrate evidence of comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills and problem-solving abilities. The schedule is working a traditional clinic workweek, M-F with one day off, no less than 36 hours of scheduled patient contact time.

Support: Hospital Support - 24/7 Anesthesia; ED; Clinic near the Hospital Campus; Hospital System Resources.      

Clinic Support - Large colleague resource with 15 providers - 8 Family Medicine, 4 Pediatric, 2 Urgent Care, and 1 Occupational Medicine.      

Also available is an imbedded LCSW in the clinic to assist with short term mental health services and urgent risk and safety assessments.

Requirements:

• Current, unrestricted Physician's Assistant or Nurse Practitioner credential in Idaho; Valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA
• A strong medical background and a desire to provide acute care to support a growing multi-specialty medical group.  In providing this support, you will obtain Idaho medical licensure to maintain and strengthen the Health System's general internal program across all communities we serve.
