The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anesthesiologist to join our collegial team serving CVPH in Plattsburgh, NY. This is a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality, personalized care in a region known for its natural beauty and welcoming communities.
- Primary Site: CVPH - a 300-bed hospital with 9 ORs and an Ambulatory Surgery Center.
- Care Model: Majority 1:1 model, with charge anesthesiologist occasionally supervising 2:1.
- Team Composition: Currently 5 full-time anesthesiologists and 2 CRNAs, supported by 2 full-time locum CRNAs and 2-5 rotating locum anesthesiologists.
- Call Structure:
- Flexible Scheduling: Ability to tailor call volume to match your lifestyle.
- Shifts: Standard 8-hour first shifts and 6-hour post-second shifts, plus ~30 additional shifts annually.
- AHMC Coverage: Currently limited to vacation coverage only, with plans to reduce further.
- Time Off: 7 weeks of PTO annually
- Case Mix: No open-heart, intracranial neurosurgery, or intensive pediatric cases.
- Trauma Level: CVPH is a Level III Trauma Center; higher-acuity cases are transferred.
- Technology: EPIC EMR system-wide.
- Teaching: Opportunities to work with family medicine and emergency medicine residents.
- Competitive Salary & Call Pay: Additional compensation for extended hours and call coverage.
- CME Support: $8,000 annual CME fund, with $4,000 eligible to roll over into the following year.
