Your Role
As a Physician at Inova-GoHealth, you’ll independently manage a wide range of clinical services, including:
- Diagnosing and treating acute conditions (e.g., colds, flu, infections, minor injuries)
- Performing office procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting)
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and imaging
- Prescribing medications and developing treatment plans
- Supervising and collaborating with PAs/NPs
- Providing patient education and follow-up care
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- 2–5 years post-residency clinical experience (minimum 18 months in urgent care or similar setting)
- Experience treating both adults and children strongly preferred
Licensure & Certification
- Board Certified/Eligible in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine (ABMS or AOA)
- Active state medical license
Skills & Attributes
- Proficiency in urgent care procedures (suturing, splinting, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
