St. Josephs Health is seeking a skilled and dedicated Board-Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician for a full-time Hospitalist position at Rome Memorial Hospital, part of the St. Josephs Health system, located in Rome, New York.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Hospitalist to join a comprehensive medical group.
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Provides professional medical services to a daily census of 12-15 patients per Provider while they are hospitalized
- Arranges for necessary follow-up care upon discharge from the Hospital
- Makes daily rounds on all patients assigned to the Hospitalist Program, admit patients and run rapids responses/ cart calls
- Conducts a history, physical examination, and note dictated in our Paragon EMR system
- Work in conjunction with Attending Physician and Intensivist to effectively manage a medical crisis or change in assigned patients medical condition consulting with applicable parties in a timely fashion.
- 7am-7pm schedule
- Works in an open ICU setting with a 24/7 Intensivist consultant
- Works with an established medical center with comprehensive subspecialty support
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Valid medical license in the state of New York.
- Prior experience as a Hospitalist preferred but not required.
- Excellent clinical and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment.
RECRUITMENT PACKAGE
St. Joseph's Health offers a comprehensive salary and compensation package.
- Guaranteed base salary: $250,000-$275,000
- The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
