Are you a Geriatric Physician who enjoys coastal life? Come work at the Hampton Veteran Affairs (VA) Medical Center while caring for our nation's veterans. Our physician must be Board certification, Geriatric Medicine and /or Palliative Medicine.  Board certification Internal Medicine, Nursing Home experience preferred (or will be - for residents) provide clinical support in an inpatient/outpatient setting. Residents should be within one year of graduation. This position has an ideal workday, which is Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm!!

 

Job Description

  • As a Staff Physician for the Community Living Center (CLC), this position is responsible for all aspects of geriatrics, palliative, and nursing home care within the defined section, including Medical Directorship of clinical staff, in support of Geriatrics and Extended Care Service.
  • Perform appropriate evaluations for patients. Participates effectively in team meetings and treatment planning conferences and collaborates with Interdisciplinary Team Members in a manner that enhances coordination of comprehensive patient care.
  • This position will require at home call coverage CLC (5pm-7am) roughly 1 out of every 10 weeks, as is consistent with the rest of the providers in GEC.

       BENEFITS:

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
